This 66 mustang had a blown out front end that was needing some love so i wen. In this video i overhaul the front suspension and add 1 inch lowering springs. Removing the front coil springs with a fork and hook type spring compressor. Install the stationary perch over the shaft of the shock.

The shock body will be up and the shaft will be pointing down. Lower an internal spring compressor tool inside the coil spring. Remove the nuts holding the shock cap on and gently remove the shock and cap. These 720 in lb coil springs are used in 67 73 applications while a 620 in lb.

At this point you will need to take the zip ties that come with the shocks and insert them through the holes in the stationary spring. Remove the shock absorber two nuts on the bottom and two bolts on top.
