Secondly i was looking for a block coolant heater for 2013 tdi golf but i cannot find one at all. Replaced the heater matirx which was clogged up and the car gets warm way before it hits 90 now. Apparently using the heater could cause a short circuit and cause a fire. Now at 99 870 miles looks like i will be selling it back to vw.

Also make sure the flow to the heater is not going to be blocked by your thermostat. Just wanted to update everyone else to the matter. If the engine will start in the late spring or fall it will start in the winter with a block heater. I found a new 2015 tdi.

Original poster 1 point 1 year ago. Did not drain the block but did the procedure 5 times. I have called numerous dealerships etc and they do not have them listed in their catalog. So forgive for any mishaps along the way.

I can find all sorts of info on the jetta tdis but not the golf. Before taking it to hendrick i had tried draining and refilling the radiator and holding tank. I had exactly this in my wife s 2013 leon 2 0 diesel 150ps. I will have to find out who make the one on my 2000 jetta but of course it is buried and hard to reach and look at.
